Evil Dead: The Game has received an Army of Darkness update, featuring a new map, more weapons, premium cosmetics, and a single-player Exploration mode.
The map features Castle Kandar in great detail, with the Arthurian Outpost and Castle Kandar Keep intact. Joining the map will be two brand new weapons, some new premium cosmetics, and a single-player exploration mode.
The new weapons on offer are a mace for some close range hacking and slashing, and an explosive crossbow. This crossbow functions exactly as you'd think - a long range attack that is a literal blast.
While the Castle Kandar map, Exploration mode, and the Mace and Explosive Crossbow are free for all players, this update also features shiny paid cosmetics. The Ash S-Mart Employee Outfit and Gallant Knight Outfit can be purchased for $2.99 each. For Season Pass 1 owners, the Medieval Bundle will be included at no additional charge. Still, anyone can scoop up new outfits for Henry the Red, Lord Arthur, and Evil Ash as an optional purchase for $7.99.
Evil Dead: The Game is available on PC via the Epic Games Store, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and Xbox One. Its Deluxe Edition includes the Season Pass 1, which features The Classics bundle, the Army of Darkness Medieval bundle, and two upcoming DLC packs. Evil Dead: The Game has also been announced for future release on Nintendo Switch.
